Linda: Thanks.

Presenter: Now you’ve been test-driving a hybrid car, the Honda Civic Hybrid.

مجري : شما يك خودروي هيبريدي تست كرده ايد ، خودروي هيبريدي شهري برند هوندا .

Linda: That’s right. I spent three days last week trying it out.

ليندا : بله درسته ، سه روز هفته گذشته را صرف تست خودرو كردم .

Presenter: Now I know that you were very interested in test-driving a hybrid. Why is that?

مجري : حالا ميدونم كه بسيار علاقمند شدي به تست رانندگي خودروي هيبريدي . چرا اينطوره ؟

Linda: I’ve been thinking of buying one for some time now. Ideally I would prefer to use public transport all the time, but my job means I have to have a car. I do a lot of driving around town, and I’d like to feel I was doing something to reduce air pollution.

ليندا : گاهي اوقات به اين فكر افتادم كه يك خودروي  هيبريدي بخرم .بطور دلخواه ترجيح ميدهم در همه ايام از حمل و نقل عمومي استفاده كنم ، اما بخاطر شغلم مجبورم خودرو داشته باشم . من درمحدوده شهر خيلي زياد رانندگي ميكنم .و دوست دارم احساس كنم كه كاري انجام داده ام براي كاهش آلودگي هوا .

Presenter: Yes, hybrid cars produce fewer emissions than conventional cars, as well as using less fuel. Now at the moment only two major car manufacturers produce hybrid cars, Toyota and Honda. You chose the Honda Civic hybrid. Why is that?

مجري : بله ، خودروهاي هيبريدي آلودگي كمتري توليد ميكنند نسبت به خودروهاي معمولي ، مانند استفاده از سوخت كمتر. در حال حاضر تنها دو شركت بزرگ سازنده خودرو توليد ميكنند خودروهاي هيبريدي ، تويوتا و هوندا .شما انتخاب كرده ايد خودروي هيبريدي هوندا را . چرا اينطور است ؟  

Linda: I used to drive a conventional Honda Civic, so I was interested in seeing if the hybrid car is similar.

ليندا : من عادت كردم با خودروي معمولي شهري هوندا رانندگي كنم ، بنابراين علاقمند شدم ببينم كه با خودروي هيبريدي مشابه است .

Presenter: And is it?

مجري: و آيا اينطور است ؟

Linda: Yes. From the outside it looks almost the same. And inside it’s very similar, until you look at the instrument panel. Then you notice a gauge showing fuel consumption, and a display that shows when the electric motor is being used to boost the engine power, and when the battery is being recharged.

ليندا : بله از طرف بيرون بنظر تقريبا همونطوره (يكسانه). و از طرف داخل بسيار مشابه مي باشد .تا زماني كه شما نگاه كنيد به پنل ابزار . سپس متوجه يك گيج ميشويد كه سوخت مصرفي را نمايش ميدهد ، و يك صفحه نمايشگر كه نمايش ميدهد زماني را كه موتور الكتريكي براي ارتقاء قدرت موتور مورد استفاده قرار ميگيرد و هنگاميكه باطري شارژ ميشود .

Presenter: When you drove the car, how did it compare to the conventional Honda Civic?

مجري : هنگاميكه شما رانديد خودرو را ، چه تفاوتي داشت با خودروي معمولي هونداي شهري ؟

Linda: It felt very similar. Sometimes it felt like it had a little less power, but that’s not really a problem when driving round town. The main difference was that it’s quieter, and when you stop at traffic lights the petrol engine shuts down, so it’s completely silent.

ليندا : بنظر بسيار مشابه ميرسيد .گاهي اوقات احساس ميشد كه يه خورده قدرت كمتر داشت ، اما هنگام رانندگي محدوده شهر مشكل جدي نيست . تفاوت اصلي اين بود كه ساكت تر است ، و هنگاميكه شما مي ايستيد در يك ترافيك سنگين موتور خاموش ميشود ، كاملا خاموش و بي صدا ميشود .

Presenter: Does that cause a problem when you start moving again?

مجري : آيا ايجاد مشكل ميكند هنگاميكه شما شروع ميكنيد به حركت دوباره ؟

Linda: Not at all. As soon as you start putting it into gear the engine instantly starts up again. You don’t notice anything. And imagine how nice it would be if all car engines stopped running at traffic lights – there would be so much less pollution in town.

ليندا : اصلا . به محض اينكه شما قرار دهيد آنرا در دنده ، موتور بلافاصله دومرتبه روشن ميشود . شما متوجه هيچ چيز نمي شويد . تصور كنيد چقدر خوب ميشد اگر همه موتورهاي خودرو از حركت مي ايستادند در ترافيك هاي سنگين – موجب كاهش آلودگي كمتر در شهر ميشد .

Presenter: So all in all, driving the hybrid car was a positive experience.

مجري : بنابراين در مجموع ، رانندگي با خودروي هيبريدي يك تجربه مثبتي بود .

Linda: Yes, and I will certainly consider buying one.

ليندا : بله ، و من قطعا درنظر خواهم داشت كه يكي از آنها را بخرم .

Presenter: Were there any downsides?

مجري : وجود داشت هيچ نقطه ضعفي (ايراد و نكته منفي براي خودروي هيبريدي )؟

Linda: Well, the boot is smaller than a conventional Civic, and it is more expensive. But then you save money on fuel costs.

Presenter: So you would recommend a hybrid.

Linda: Based on this experience, yes. For someone like me, who doesn’t need a really powerful car, it’s ideal.
